Malcolm Hooley, GSL Colmworth Scout GroupIt is with great pleasure that we discover that one a member of Ouse Valley has recently been awarded the Silver Acorn.

Malcolm Hooley, GSL at Colmworth, has been awarded the Silver Acorn in recognition of his considerable contribution to Scouting in this year's 'honours' list.

The Silver Acorn is awarded for "specially distinguished and appreciably better than outstanding" service to Scouting. This is a very significant award and one that Malcolm will feel particularly proud of - it is not given lightly and reflects his tremendous commitment to Scouting over many years.

Appropriate to such an award, Malcolm will be invited to attend the national St George's Day service at Windsor, where it will be presented.

Congratulations Malcolm on receiving this exceptionally distinguished award!
